Tucson Pole Fitness was started in 2007 by Jessica McCain. After being introduced to pole fitness, Jessica fell in love with it and was formerly trained in California. With her new training, she was determined to introduce pole fitness to those in her hometown of Tucson, AZ. She started small, renting space where she could get it and giving private lessons until she had enough students to open her own studio. She continued to teach, training new instructors to help teach the increasing number of classes and students. In March 2014, Jessica sold the assests of Tucson Pole Fitness to The Zanda Group, LLC, which is owned and operated by Zack and Amanda George. A student of the studio for just over a year when the oppotunity to take over the studio presented itself, Amanda was eager for the chance to build upon Jessica's foundation and help the studio contunue to grow. She and her husband Zack hope to open additional studios in southern Arizona and provide more individuals the chance to learn of and participate in this exciting sport of pole fitness. 









Advanced Pole, Flexibility

Melissa was born and raised in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Dancing since the age of 4, her passion for dance grew over the years. When she moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona, Melissa missed dancing and wanted to be a part of a studio again, so she Googled “dance studios in Tucson” and Tucson Pole Fitness popped up in the search. After taking her first class, Melissa fell in love and knew she was hooked for life. She began teaching pole in 2011 and plans to someday take home a first place title in a pole competition. With a background in personal training, dance, and gymnastics Melissa’s classes are designed to be challenging and fun.



Intermediate Pole, Advanced Pole, Boot Camp, Hip Hop Pole

Sara has been taking pole since 2009 and began teaching in 2011.  She has trained in jazz, contemporary, ballet and hip hop dance.  She began pole as an extension of these interests and found that she loved the new challenges and artistry.  She also loves running, hiking and Insanity workouts and incorporates the strength building moves into her boot camp classes.  Her favorite part of teaching pole fitness is watching her students gain strength and confidence when accomplishing new moves and poses.  If you're looking for an intense workout that still feels fun and gives you lots of encouragement, you should check out her classes.


Foundation Pole, Intermediate Pole, Private Parties, Workshops

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=7|imageid=71|float=left}Marta Dee was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She is happily married and has two fur babies named Sid and Goonter. Currently she is working on her Associates Degree in Applied Science to further herself into the Veterinarian field.
Dance and performing has always appealed to her since she was a kid. She started ballet/contemporary dance at the young age of 3. Getting involved in the theatrical arts throughout high school and performing for school plays quickly became habitual for her. Pursuing contact sports such as softball, boxing and weightlifting, being active has always been a strong point of hers too. However, it wasn't until she became a student of Tucson Pole Fitness, that she realized nothing could prepare her for such an intense and unique work out! After watching her favorite pole idol Alethea Austin on YouTube win a pole championship title to the song Sober by Tool, she was completely inspired to try pole fitness and competing in the near future. She became a student in 2011 and recently began teaching in March of 2014 and hasn't looked back since! Although she has been familiar with sports most of her life, flexibility was always her biggest challenge. With consistency, the amount of strength and active flexibility she has attained has given her the natural 'make any move look easy' illusion to her tricks/performances. What will you gain from her classes? Strength, endurance, fluidity but most notably confidence and a unique and fun alternative to getting into the best shape of your life.
